Tamil Nadu State Medicinal Plants Board formed by a Government Order vide G.O.M.s No: 104, Health & Family Welfare Dept. Dt. 06.06.2002. A registered society under and registered under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 vide Sl. No.286/2009 dt 26.10.2009, as per the G.O.M.S.No.343, Health & Family Welfare (IM1-1) Department Dt: 17.10.2008. The State Medicinal Plants Board function with the direction of the Board of directors(Executive Committe and General Body). Functioning under the Health & Family Welfare Dept. Government of Tamil Nadu. The Principal Secretary to Government is the Chairman and Commissioner of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy Dept is the Member Secretary / CEO of TNSMPB. Operating the National Ayush Mission Schemes, Through the National Medicinal Plants Board.
